@TrueBloodNet @Agatha Yeah same. I'd also started posting elevensies threads debunking conservative lies (about abortion, politics, religion, the poor, etc.). I understand folks found them informative.

Guts are feeling a lot better today. I might enjoy tea on the porch later.

Solstice was yesterday. I wasn't able to mark it in any particular way as I've been sick with a gut bug the last couple of days. Mostly I watched shitty ghost hunting shows & ate rice & Jell-O & Gatorade.

I feel bad at losing a social media account I had for over a decade, but I'll take the suspension as a badge of honor, given what the place has become.

@Jacki It was a great idea back in the day. Jack was never that great about curbing bigoted speech but at least his team was making progress before Muskrat showed up & ruined everything.

@TrueBloodNet @Agatha Yeah I had a tweet flagged for "encouraging suicide or self-harm". The tweet in question advised someone not to do their own electrical work because if they did they might "k!ll themselves". I never could get a real human to review the tweet so eventually deleted it.

The place is overrun with the worst bots & bigots social media has to offer. It isn't worth it anymore.

I consider the place a living example of Karl Popper's Paradox of Tolerance in action: by tolerating the most intolerant users, the bird site is allowing them to drown out all voices but their own.

Welp, my main account at the bird site got suspended, no reason given; & with this latest from Herr Muskrat declaring 'cis' a slur there, fuckit, I'm not going back.

In fact I hope that's why I was suspended: for using 'cis' with liberal abandon.

@TessaForDemocracy If you enjoy animated series at all, we just watched Avatar: the Last Airbender. I also enjoy documentaries about history or archaeology when I need something to watch, maybe something along those lines.
