Trump's so dumb he thought he won something with that Colorado court decision.
He might stay on the ballot, but what he won was a factual finding that he committed acts of insurrection.

#TransgenderDayOfRemembrance
You probably know at least one trans or nonbinary person. Would they know they'd be safe coming out to you?
I'm the proud mom of a #trans son.
If your family/friends are giving you grief, let me know. I'll be your CoSo Mom.
You are YOU, and that is beautiful.
#Transgender Awareness Week.
I find myself obsessing over these Greek verses:
... στο μαγουλο του, φως μου, εχει μιαν ελιά.
... Την ελίτσα που 'χεις, φως μου, και με τυραννάς.
... on her cheek, my light, is a single mole.
... Your little mole, my light, you tyrannize me.
More precisely, I've been obsessing over ελίτσα, which seems to be a diminutive of ελιά.
Yes, obsessing over lyrics about obsession. This is probably why the lyric appeals to me.
Great song, though.
Our troops risked their lives to hand-deliver 300 liters of fuel to the Shifa hospital for urgent medical purposes.
Hamas forbade the hospital from taking it.
Gaza’s Hamas-run health ministry has been warning for weeks that its hospitals are running out of fuel. If so, why would they prevent the hospital from receiving it?
Reminder: If there's a unionization vote at your workplace, it's probably in your best interest to vote yes.
It's very unlikely you'd be worse off with a union - and increasing unionization generally benefits *all* workers by pressuring employers (even non-union employers, who have to compete with unions for workers) to raise their salaries, increase benefits, improve working conditions, offer more time off, etc.
Some unions are decidedly subpar though, so reading up on them is a good idea.
I remember begging people to hold their noses and vote for Hillary because there was a chance we’d never be free to vote again. We came to so close to that on Jan 6th 202. Until the current instantiation of the GOP has been replaced or destroyed, it’s literally suicidal to not vote for the D nominee. #politics
Veterans Day
I hang out with a lot of veterans.
Some from the Vietnam era, some from the first gulf war, and some Navy guys that spent years under water.
None, Not a single one, think the "Oath Keepers" are patriots. To a person, (some are woman), they despise any kind of militia. They think of them as thefts of valor.
They talk about them the same way they talk about civilians that pretend to be ex-military.
(and a few voted for trump)
Got skunked by my usual WaPo games and quiz -- my ignorance of popular culture was my undoing. So many pop culture factoids pop up in the stream, like "don't take a first date to the Cheesecake Factory" -- I'm a long way from worrying about first dates, and avoid chain restaurants on principle (i.e., I'm a snob), so that's a file-and-forget.
But coming up with Sandra Bullock when the correct answer was "Fran Drescher" --after seeing Drescher's inspiring speech -- that hurt!
Look for the union label when you are buying that coat, dress or blouse. Remember somewhere our union’s sewing, our wages going to feed the kids, and run the house. We work hard, but who’s complaining? Thanks to the I.L.G. we’re paying our way! So always look for the union label, it says we’re able to make it in the U.S.A.!
sigh. showing my age.

Ramaswamy follows the patriarchal tradition of blaming it all on a woman:
"...since Ronna McDaniel took over as chairwoman of the RNC in 2017, we have lost 2018, 2020, 2022."
Or as Adam put it, "The woman ... tempted me, and I did eat."
It warms the ecumenical cockles of my heart to see this point of agreement between Hinduism and the Abrahamic religions. Polytheists and monotheists may disagree about everything else, but their men know who to blame.

Yeah. Sure. Totally unintentional... 🙄
"At least nine Hinds County polling places ran out of ballots... Hinds County includes Jackson, the nearly 83%-Black capital city."
“Voters told the Mississippi Free Press earlier today that the McLeod Elementary polling place ran out of ballots as early as 8:30 a.m.; voting began at 7 a.m. and lasts until 7 p.m.”
