Years ago I remember reading about an anti rape device for women. It was an insert that was smooth on the outside, but had jagged teeth on the inside that would "lock on" and had to be removed by a doctor. Unfortunately it didn't get enough funding and people were calling it "barbaric!"

I don't trust my government. I don't trust citizens & police officers that would vote for Trump. I am going to start carrying one of my firearms more often. - I NEVER wanted to feel this way.

The #media aren't only sanewashing Trump, they're normalizing him and his fascism and his personality cult.

One could say that their bias is to deny that the abnormal is abnormal, to try to make sense of the senseless; that they're used to giving new presidents a fresh start and ignoring everything that went before, the particulars be damned.

But really, they're just all in on being the propaganda tools of a dictatorship. So long as they get paid.

They'll go into a deep dive to understand the causes of the outcome of the election, and the end result will be what we know: too many voters are idiots who don't know how to check if something they heard on YouTube was a lie, and whose way of deciding if something is true is to test whether it matches their unexamined prejudices.

They won't use anything like those words, though.

To my way of thinking, the flood of entertainment and mindless 'games' with which we are inundated, which keeps people constantly checking their phones, serves the same purpose for the modern oligarchs. It wastes a great deal of time and energy; and it diverts people's thoughts into channels that the oligarchs think acceptable. It may even serve as a form of low-grade propaganda, subtly suggesting what priorities are supposed to be important and which not.

Got really good news today. I work with Carol, my State's SHIP (State Health Insurance Plan) coordinator on finding a Part D (Medicare drug plan) for 2025. The one she found has no premium and no co-pays on the 2 prescriptions I use regularly! She is amazing, & also helping my son who is on SS & Medicare disability. Sounds too good to be true, but it is true!
