In my former apt in west Asheville, we were in the flight pattern of the geese heading south. The cacophony of their honking often made us run outside to see their low flyovers.
This time of year was heralded by their discussion of flight patterns.
Loved it.
@LnzyHou @HaikuHedgehog I love hearing the geese fly over! We’re right on a couple flight paths that go through the center of CA. Sometimes there are so many flocks going over it’s amazing. i think the Sandhill Cranes are my favorite. The first time I heard their noisy party I had no idea what it was.
It’s funny and cool to see Pelicans and Cormorants here at the edge of the Sierra Foothills too.

My most exciting fly-over was flamingos.
Yep 🦩🦩🦩
My brother & I were on our way to fly his ultra light in Puerto Penasco from Phoenix. We stopped the van to pee & saw a huge pink cloud, swooping, swirling & catching thermals right above us.
We were gobsmacked.
Never knew they flew that high.
Never knew they flew in MX.
Never knew they flocked in those numbers.
My brother occasionally asks me if we really saw that. FYI—we were not on mushrooms.
@LnzyHou @HaikuHedgehog that would be incredible!! Amazing happening. 🤩
@HaikuHedgehog
