Waking up a bit slower today, as I'm still waiting for my butler to bring me my coffee service.
Oh wait... I don't have a butler.
(grumbling) Fine, fine, I'll go make the coffee myself.
Yeah yeah yeah... I'm here, just running a bit behind this morning. Still chasing that coffee fix...
After a relaxing holiday weekend, I’m back at work (relatively speaking). Unsure yet how I feel about this.
One of the (many) nice things about working from home is you can wear your “wouldn’t be seen in public” ratty sweatshirts and not worry about it. 😎
And now for an original #haiku:
The morning has come
Time to make some fresh coffee
And face the new day
I woke up from a dream where donuts were dancing around me in my kitchen. It kinda looked like this.
Also, I need to maybe cut back on the size of the bedtime gummies. Just saying...
A POEM FOR MORNINGS
Coffee, coffee, coffee.
Coffee.
Coffee, coffee.
Everyone be quiet
Until I've had my
Coffee.
If you ever want to know what I'm like before I have my first cup of coffee, well... I asked my AI assistant to come up with a visual.
Yep... seems about right. ☕
"It's your hippie dippy traffic man, with the the hippie dippy traffic... man." 😜
Up at 4:30, on TV starting at 5:30. These type of work hours are why coffee was invented.
My wife has learned to never ask me what I'm thinking, because I tend to answer honestly with responses like "I wonder if garden gnomes ride snails like we ride horses."
I also wonder if they like coffee. The gnomes, to be precise, not the snails. I already know snails don't like coffee.
All hands on deck this morning in the TV news business: we're dealing with severe storms with flooding, power outages, wires and trees down, and idiots that still think they can drive like normal causing mayhem on the roadways.
This is one of those mornings when I *really* appreciate working from my home studio.
Been battling an upper respiratory infection for the past several days, but luckily I'm pretty much over it just in time to get back into live traffic reporting this morning.
I just hope I don't suddenly feel the need to hack up a lung in the middle of the morning news. 😁
