A POEM FOR MORNINGS
Coffee, coffee, coffee.
Coffee.
Coffee, coffee.
Everyone be quiet
Until I've had my
Coffee.
If you ever want to know what I'm like before I have my first cup of coffee, well... I asked my AI assistant to come up with a visual.
Yep... seems about right. β
"It's your hippie dippy traffic man, with the the hippie dippy traffic... man." π
Up at 4:30, on TV starting at 5:30. These type of work hours are why coffee was invented.
My wife has learned to never ask me what I'm thinking, because I tend to answer honestly with responses like "I wonder if garden gnomes ride snails like we ride horses."
I also wonder if they like coffee. The gnomes, to be precise, not the snails. I already know snails don't like coffee.
All hands on deck this morning in the TV news business: we're dealing with severe storms with flooding, power outages, wires and trees down, and idiots that still think they can drive like normal causing mayhem on the roadways.
This is one of those mornings when I *really* appreciate working from my home studio.
Been battling an upper respiratory infection for the past several days, but luckily I'm pretty much over it just in time to get back into live traffic reporting this morning.
I just hope I don't suddenly feel the need to hack up a lung in the middle of the morning news. π
What a lovely morning. Sometime over the weekend, someone gained access to our company Facebook page and deleted the entire thing after removing all the admins. Our IT people are "on it" but I am not hopeful.
Ugh.
Need MUCH more coffee today.

Before there was cubism, there was coffee. And all was good with the world. β
Had to take some allergy meds this morning so I'm feeling a bit spaced out.
I just *love* spring weather...
So my isolation from nearly all daily contact with other people since I started working from home three months ago hasn't affected me at all. Nope, not one bit. In fact, me and my imaginary family are having a wonderful morning.
Trying to embrace the day, even though it's a Monday.
Yeah, I'm having a bit of trouble carpeing that old diem...
Having difficulty getting the old body into gear this morning. The machinery seems a bit creaky and in need of some oiling. And coffee, of course.
So it's 5 o'clock... time for some Crown & Coffee.
#CaffeineClub (evening edition)
It was an early morning yesterday
I was up before the dawn
And I really have enjoyed my stay
But I must be moving on ... to more coffee

Waking up to the (hopefully) last cold snap of the Spring -- it's 38 degrees here in Tennessee -- and wondering if there is anything I could consume to help warm me up.
Something dark. And hot. And with a bit of a "wake-me-up" kick.
Hmm... there's gotta be something.
