I'm still trying to figure out exactly what was wrong with the guy in the "Operation" game that required him to have so many near-simultaneous surgeries.
@GaryPoole That game is fake news. No way lower leg surgery (especially before the advent of orthopaedic hardware) is equally difficult to heart surgery. PS Maybe the patient in that game started out cutting himself.
@GaryPoole Hitbyatruckitis
The surgeries were actually billed to that body, which was a cadaver so they could perform them on patients without the insurance to cover them.
When the hospital was found out, the penalties put it out of business, further putting the people off the area it served in peril.
The insurance company was able to write it off and reported record breaking profits that year.
@nblumengarten @GaryPoole Dark but accurate.
@GaryPoole
😆 LOL
@GaryPoole Its a private-equity hospital so he's only been seen by Drs who've been sued out of private practice and cleaned-out in a divorce. The administration is shared with the Taco Bell next door.
You work at a chop shop and are harvesting his parts for $ with just local anesthesia and trying not to wake him up
Yea. It's pretty dark
@GaryPoole
Thank goodness this was before the advent of the DEATH PANELS
