For me it's a tie between "Soap" and "The Wire".
Yes, I have a rather eclectic taste in television shows.

Ah Soap. Like Blazing Saddles, a production far ahead of its time. Both excellent.
@GaryPoole I could see the wire, not only an excellent show but realistic according to my friends in that business.
