By the time Congress gets around to passing Ai regulations, Ai will be in the Oval Office signing the bill.

Woke up to the news that the trailer park housing our poorest still-housed students was hit by the tornadoes. No deaths, thankfully, but the entire place had to be evacuated for a gas leak.

Because if these kids need anything, it's more trauma and homelessness. Oof.

Anyway, time to be here for my kids...whatever they need that to look like minute to minute. 💔

I've recently blocked a slew of people who have opted to abstain from conflict and instead spend their time mewling about hate.

They do not understand.

It isn't people that are worthy of hatred. It is their behavior, and loathing it is nothing less than a paramount civic responsibility. Why? Because intolerance is everyone's enemy.

The targets of that righteous ire? They can stop behaving like monsters and rejoin society at any time. Till then, f*ck 'em.

Steve Bannon loses appeal in Federal appeals court for contempt for refusing to testify with committee

Well, my colon scope was a success. I survived another 24 hours without food (FYI never drink clear water from the SuPrep cup, always from a clean glass—also lemon drops mask the taste of the SuPrep).

Hopefully the next time will be with pills. That SuPrep makes me want to vomit. (BTW if I misspelled SuPrep, I blame it on the anesthesia—I’m also not supposed to sign legal documents so my misspellings, I believe, are also part of that deal: I’m not a lawyer and I think SCOTUS said I was right)

My two cents: the hubbub about the Apple’s ad for the iPad is a PERFECT example of people confusing a tool with the art (and the artist).

A skilled artist can take a child’s paint set and make stunning art; create glorious music banging rocks together.

No one is denigrated by Apple crushing objects it owns.

A trumpet or piano is a tool. Artists (real ones) call them tools. They are neither art nor the artist.

So I just realized that is Sunday. I just realized it now because I overheard kiddo telling her dad about what her classroom was doing for us. So I had to scramble to find something to send to my mom who has been taking care of my aunt the last week.

My husband kept saying, “send her edibles!”
“What about my mother makes you think that would go well?”

I looked at that man long and hard before realizing he meant arrangements. Edible arrangements.

A friend gave me a painted feather

I am Going to have to try this…

2/2 Because businesses will have to assure that their systems will have to be interoperable WHETHER OR NOT anyone really wants them to be.

As someone who has led design of hardware as well as software based solutions, this will have a chilling effect on novel solutions.

Tesla created a NON-STANDARD design because there was no legal requirement to do so. If Justice gets it’s way, the first design will become the “standard”—even if it is crappy (like SMS).

“Unless the law changes, they will not win and if it does change, then the Switch, Playstation, and Xbox are going to be forced open too.”

And THEN I can bitch at GM for using their own dashboard system instead of Apple’s CarPlay which works (vs GM’s system which is buggy as hell).

If Justice does succeed this will do incredible and long lasting damage to business and increase costs for consumers.
