Where I live, vets won't do ear cropping on dogs unless there's a medical reason.

A couple years ago the dog rescue where I got my dogs took in a beautiful 5 month old Doberman puppy. She was in really bad shape because some asshole had rubber banded her ears and both of them were badly infected - so much so that she ended up having to have one ear amputated completely, although they were able to save the other one.

They sent me a thank you card and it has her photo on it.😍
