My wife’s dad passed away last night.

I also lost my father my father in law, who meant a lot to me as well.

His quality of life hadn’t been good for quite some time… we’re at peace with the fact he is now at peace as well.

Last time my wife was with him, he asked us to take care of his dog Nala. Chuck in the background and Nala on my lap last Christmas Eve

@Gambit_1 Honestly, in my thankfully limited experience they don't believe or believe _in_ anything. They vote entirely with their feelings and biases. It's not a rational thing with any particular thought process as far as I can tell. @Kinnison @mcfate

I was watching a tremendously bad doc about women on death row. One of the women was on TV espousing words about Mexicans not "sending doctors or lawyers" to justify stalking Mexican Americans in Arizona with an AK-47 well before the crime she was convicted of.

I turned that shit off, but I was left laughing because she said it like she wanted us to believe if she had a fender bender and she needed local representation, the first person she would call would be Juan Gonzalez, Abogado.
