He designed the layout then he designed the house to go to the top of it including steel posts that were not evenly spaced but fit the train layout. Took it to an engineering architect and the guy said what - those posts and beams should be evenly spaced. Nope, gotta be where they are. Resized and re-spanned the beams to fit it for him.

If you look hard enough, there are still a few posts worth reading over in that wasteland.

Did you ever think about building a train set? So big you have to design your house over top of it? This gentleman says it's his third setup, he started this about 20 years ago.

Yea, I thought about cutting them all off, then grinding the stalks...but that's a sh!t-ton of work, and I'll still miss some, so still end up in compost. They re-seed prolifically anyway, and most springtime I spend pulling the little ones from places I don't want them.
I think I need to rip out all the sunflowers along the curb soon. I hate it, but I trash them. They're too fibrous to compost, and if I do, my compost is full of seeds and useless. #gardening

It's the Walgreens way.
Seriously, they're about to be bought out. They're done. According to the pharmacist there last week.

A trained archaeologist can do a visual survey to look for clues, changes in soil and vegetation, and GPR or ground penetrating. Radar can indicate disturbances within a foot or so. Does it seem to be a family plot?

Yes, I've been able to get the gist of written Spanish for a long time, while only just being a beginner at speaking and even worse at hearing. Listening and doing real time translation is difficult. Speaking is a little easier because I make it in my head first, reading just sits their patiently waiting for me.
There used to be a news tabloid that had English on one side in Spanish on the other. That was awesome.
Used to bother the hell out of me (m67), but I'm getting pretty good at it nowadays. Between our politics and imposed introversion of COVID, just hanging out in my jams makes for a good day.

Yep, I went to high school in the 70s in Houston area. Nothing's changed.
