More than anything I think this is a 'hold your fire' moment in politics. Yes, the right is fired up. There's an actual challenge in picking a candidate. people are pumping huge resources into selling the idea of electing a potential convicted felon over any reasonable candidate. Barring any unexpected development the left knows who their candidate will be. Polling will reflect a higher % of excited MAGAs because they're active. Don't start the circular firing squad in a panic.

Maybe unpopular opinion here: I understand a lot of the backlash Boebert is getting from her recent antics. She's made a fool of herself. After basing her career on ridiculing others she's made herself the object of ridicule by behaving crudely and offensively in public.

As has been observed, the Georgia indictments sting in larger part because even if gets elected he will have no power to pardon anyone convicted in Georgia. Presidential pardons apply only to federal crimes.

So I wondered what's to stop a corrupt enough Georgia governor from doing the pardoning for him? What I found at the link below is that it isn't that easy. To start, pardon applicants have to finish their sentence and wait 5 years to apply
