This site is run by one person (who is currently very, very busy keeping us afloat in the midst of a rapid growth spurt and DDoS attacks).

3) Watch the firehose & follow those with like interests. Scroll down to pause the autofeed
4) Joining a new platform can be tough. GIVE IT TIME
5) Missing a fav feature? Play a while w/o it. Some things we’re used to are designed to manipulate us. Still missing it? Might be on the to do list. Ask!
6) Questions? Use #)help

PSA - It has been brought to our attention that 'JivoChat' a component widely used on commercial sites as a form of communication between customers and businesses has been bought by Russian Sberbank.

We have been using this for our Support and Conflict Resolution Center element. In light of this we will be removing the JivoChat component from https://counter.social.

It will no longer be available from 1230am ET tonight.

We will rollout a replacement in due course.

Are you finding the desktop experience to be too complicated? That's alright! It does take some getting used to.

You can enable "Ostrich Mode" in your settings, or use the mobile app. You can also "trick" your browser into displaying mobile through the Developer Tools. Press CTRL + SHIFT + I, then click on the little mobile icon at the top of the code bar. #CoSoTips
