What in heaven’s name is AWOO mode?

I spoke (civilly) to a Trump supporter coworker today. I told him I have no problem with conservatism because we need to work together to represent ALL the people in order for government to function properly. I told him I couldn’t f’ing stand Trump because of his well-documented history of racism/criminality, and he said with complete sincerity that he didn’t see it. What do you do? He actually said, I can’t stand him either but I think he’s been a great president. WTF?? #confusing

I try my level best to debate politics without vitriol. It has been quite the challenge. How have y’all handled discussions with trump supporters? Have you been able to have respectful discourse? I HAVE, with friends & coworkers. But it’s so damn difficult to achieve on Twitter. Thankfully, I’m fortunate enough to belong to the CoSo family where all I crave for honest discourse is the norm. Thanks a million for this platform, @th3j35t3r.

It has occurred to me that one of the biggest motivating factors of this sudden cave is that trump really, REALLY wants to deliver his SOTU address. Is this when he’s going to lay his “national emergency” for a wall on the American public? 🤔

I know this may be a stretch, but could Barr be a plant to help save America? Just throwing that out there...

Just throwing this out there...I’d love to see a Biden/Harris ticket. I totally get the “no more old white men” argument, but hear me out. 4 years. Let him have 4 years. Joe’s experience & long relationships with some of the more...contentious MOC would be invaluable; the two of them would be a formidable no-nonsense combination. Joe is also the last living bastion of true bipartisanship IMO. He can begin to heal the USA.
