My Saturday night is going to consist of watching old Unsolved Mysteries episodes, playing CK3 on the laptop and a dinner of microwaved baked potatoes. Not sure it gets better than this......

Before 4am wake up, due to hubbs leaving for the airport. Had coffee and pizza at 6am. lol

Getting to see my friend yesterday was emotional and draining. Not in a negative way, I've missed her, and her hubbs and their kiddos and am so glad I got to see her and her hubbs!

Now I get to be a lazy loaf all week! lol

And because I wasn't wound tight enough already, Tormund digs under the fence, escapes and almost gets attacked by the neighbor dogs. Ugh. Friggin animals, man.

My body has been wound tight all week. Anxiety has been strong. It feels like....two tightly clenched fists, inside my body. I dont know how else to explain it.

We are seeing friends tomorrow, that we haven't seen in about 6 or 7 years. I've missed them deeply and I know it's going to be emotional and exhausting, but I'm happy about it. Then Mr leaves for his final trip on Saturday. It's a BIG stressful one, so I'm nervous for him. *deep breath*

Went and saw Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice today. It was just meh. Figured it would be, but still wanted to see it.

Daughters car is only going to cost $1,500 to fix, which is a BIG hooray! I said $2,500. Hubbs said $4,000 🙄 he's such a drama queen sometimes..lol

Tormund keeps hitting on a spot along the baseboards inside, which means there's a critter under the house. He's never wrong.

Not sure how it got under there, we had it all sealed up last summer, but it looks like I'll be calling the crawl place to come check it. Blah.

It's an overcast, foggy morning in my corner of the #pnw. I was sitting on the back deck, when Hubbs comes out with his coffee.

Him: What ya doin?

Me: Watchin' for vampires.

Him: Hmmm. *looks around* Yeah, it is vampire weather, isn't it?

lolol I like when he plays along with my nonsense.

I watched a leaf fall from a tree out back, as I washed my dishes this morning.

Back in the 80s, early 90s, Yoplait had a banana yogurt. Just banana. It was thick, like a custard. It was the best banana yogurt I've ever had.
Been on the hunt for another, and they don't exist. All I can find are "light" ones, "zero sugar", or strawberry-banana combo. The "light" ones are fucking disgusting. I don't know how people eat them.

School did indeed start today!

Daughter is already off, for an early start to attend Senior Sunrise. She drove herself. In my car. Lil nervous about the high school parking lot, but hopefully she'll be okay.

Will I relax at all today? Probably not till she gets home. lol #School

So, the email we received yesterday from the district said school would "tentatively" start tomorrow, as long as the teachers voted "yes" on the contract.

It's after 2pm, and there's been no word either way. I'm starting to wonder if that's a bad sign? 😬

Well, school is tentatively set to start tomorrow, as long as they vote yes on the contract today.

If it happens, only one day lost really isn't so bad, if the teachers are happy (ish?) with their new contracts. #School

And there we have it! The start of the school year is postponed until further notice.

*sigh* The teachers absolutely deserve everything they are asking for, I just don't know how the district will give it to them.

Fingers crossed it's only a day or two. Much more than that, will really disrupt the rest of the year.....
