Went out to the woods to look for tracks, after last nights eye shine incident.

It was, in fact, deer.

Just saw some bright eyeshine in the woods on our property. Two sets.

The obvious answer is, deer. We get them on the property a ton.

Husband insists it's black bears. 🙄 It's not black bears.

I say it's Bigfoot. Pretty sure I'm correct on this.

The last 4 years have left me feel like I am crawling across the finish line, getting all 3 kids through high school. It's been tough! I am dragging us all, limping, to that end....

Less than a week before school starts, and I get an email saying the teachers may strike and the beginning of the school year may be delayed. We were also told to "make alternative arrangements" in case it's delayed. Like what? Send my kid to another school in another district? Dafuq?

Did I spend $115 on Monster High "Wednesday" and "Enid" dolls?

Yes. Yes I did. I only got 2 of the 3 though, so I need to find the second "Wednesday" doll. I fully plan on my collections being what funds the kids' inheritance. lol (only kinda joking)

Hubbs is 46 years old today. Hard to believe he was a 24 year old fresh outta the Navy when we met! We've been together just about half our lives. (I was 20)

Found out a guy I know, who's left a trail of victims behind him, is having a baby.

Karma sure is taking it's time catching up to him, but man oh man, he's setting himself up for an epic fall once it does.

We ended up with just over 1/2 an inch of rain from yesterdays thunder storm. We got more rain in 2 hours than we have all summer!

The lightening, was AMAZING! I don't think I've ever experienced a thunderstorm like that before. #PNW #wawx

Thunder and Lightening lasted about 2 hours and we have gotten almost 1/2 an inch of rain!

Added daughter to car insurance. It went up over $1,000 for a 6 month policy. That's over $200/month increase.

We don't see widespread thunderstorms in the lowlands of Western Wa very often, it's pretty rare, so this is rather exciting. If you like severe weather, which I do. To a point. lol

Got the kids to agree to an at home, family weekend, so we'll all be here to enjoy the storms! :D

Welp. Daughter was successful in her endeavors and got her license today.

I cleaned the muck outta the French drain across our driveway. Been after Hubbs to do it all summer. 🙄 I feel like the rainy season is going to be coming soon, so it needed to be done.

I need a back replacement now, but hey, it's clean and I won't have to worry about the driveway flooding this Fall/Winter/Spring. :)

My daughter takes her drive test to get her license today.
