Was at the pharmacy yesterday, and the pharmacist was trying to explain to an elderly man why he was being prescribed antibiotics before oral surgery.

He just did not understand how he could possibly get an infection. She repeatedly told him that there are bacteria in your mouth, and with an open wound, it can easily become infected. "Well, how does the bacteria get in there?" he asked more than once.

She had the patience of a Saint. *I* was getting frustrated, just listening. lol

I am so sick of these religious freak politicians, making laws based off their made up book, full of made up bullshit, to appease a made up man.

I do NOT believe in your religion. I do NOT believe in your fake ass book! Why should I be forced to go along with it? "Freedom of Religion" means YOU can practice whatever religion YOU want! It does NOT mean you get to force your shit onto others!

Bundt cake was....meh. The cake itself was okay, but the icing is gross. I've come to the conclusion that I just do NOT like powdered sugar icing. #Baking

Today I made beef jerky, Pico, and have a bundt cake in the oven.

My BIL is having his first kid. His GF has 3 daughters.

My hubbs (his bro) had asked if they planned on finding out if it was a boy or a girl, when BIL told us they were expecting. BIL responded "Oh, its a boy. I know its a boy."

Running on E this afternoon. Woke up at 2am and just didn't get back to sleep. I'm out of my tincture too, so anxiety was pinging last night.

Gotta pick up the daughter at 5, then it's dinner from a drive thru and bed by 7pm lol

Today, I make a loaf of sourdough. My second attempt at a sourdough starter has been a success! Hooray! #baking

The banana cream cheesecake I made is delicious!
It reminds me of the Yoplait banana custard yogurt that was around in the 80s/90s. I loved that stuff!

I think I shall make blueberry muffins this week! And a loaf of sourdough, cause my starter will be ready! Hooray! #Baking

Made that banana cream cheesecake today. I think I overcooked the cheesecake and I should have put the bowl in the freezer before I made the Bavarian cream, so it was colder.

BUT! I think it will still taste good. Has to fridgeitate overnight, so we will taste test tomorrow! #Baking #Dessert

It's been a long week. No reason specifically...Just felt really long.

I want to plan a weeks worth of dinners and snacks, buy ingredients for said meals and snacks, then not leave my house for ANY reason, for the entire week.

It won't solve anything, but it'll calm my brain for a bit.... #Hibernate (Really, I'd like to do it for like 6 months, but a week is more realistic. lol)

Last week my son was sick (again). This week, my daughter (again). Hubbs got a Shingles diagnosis on Sunday and about 2 weeks ago I decided to stop my BC pills. We are all a bit of a mess this month. lol

I really hope this isn't an indication of how 2024 is going to go as a whole.....

I can feel myself getting overwhelmed with all the goings on, (my life and the world) and my panic hibernate mode is kicking in.

Trying to fight it, cause I know I don't have time for this right now! lol

Saving the Banana Cream cheesecake for this weekend. Safeway didn't have banana extract, and I didn't have it in me, or my bank account, to go to Walmart today. lol (I always end up buying "others" at Wally World. Clothes, house stuff, craft supplies...ect. I am really trying to be better about my spending.)
