Today marks 7 years since my Mom died. We weren't super close...She left when I was 13, but I miss her. A lot. I know what she'd say though....She'd roll her eyes, take a long drag of her cigarette (Salems) and say "Oh, get over it, Rebecca!" lol

I've been wanting to bake for awhile, but haven't been able to due to the remodel. I'm really happy to be back at it again!

Went to the DOL, Lowes, Jimmy Johns, Starbucks, ran the car through a car wash, went to Tractor Supply and Safeway.

I've got a Lemon Victoria Sponge cake in the oven.

Its been awhile since Ive been this productive. I'm pooped! 😴

If I ever happen to be in possession of millions upon millions of dollars....I'm building myself the house from Practical Magic.

Ordered the chair and floor lamp for the front room! Slowly getting all the new furniture I want, to complete this remodel.

TRYING to buy things on sale. I am MIFFED that the kitchen table I want was $100 cheaper 2 weeks ago (NOT marked as "On Sale"). Hopefully it'll come down again soon.

This is one of those times I wish my Dad were still here, so I could talk to him about it. Get advice. 😣

My son (20) thinks he's ready to move out with his GF. Her home situation "isn't good", he says. He hasn't been at his job even 6 months. He's still on our health insurance and car insurance. He thinks cause he can swing $600/month in rent and get internet for cheap, he's ready to move out.

Hubbs is going to have a sit down talk with both of them tonight. *sigh*

I got a Roomba today.

The trim is really nice stuff, I've had two different contractors comment on it, saying we wouldn't be able to match it, and we'd really need to reuse as much as possible. NO PRESSURE THOUGH! lol

Ordered two new cake stands, to replace the one that got broken when the credenza tipped last week.
They are glass, one blue one pink. One regular sized, one small.
Once the floors are done, I'm getting back into the kitchen! I have the need to create a peach cheesecake!

I never got the renewal notices for my tabs on one of our cars. They expired on the 2nd of July. Oops. Even when I get the renewal notices.....I still forget sometimes. lol

Ordered the first piece of new furniture! Media center for the living room!

Now, if only the bookshelves I want would come back in stock....🤔

Made progress on the floors today. We *mostly* fixed the uneven subfloor issue. Fixed the worst of it, anyway.

Tomorrow is finishing the floors in the living room, putting trim back on, then we will start removing carpet from the front half of the house. #HomeRemodel #IHateDIY #NeverAgain
