@sistersib We have "ghost" cats who are indoor ferals...they're about 8 years old now, were transported to me from San Bernardino shelter and I was supposed to foster them for a woman in Marin. Turned out they were all 3 feral af..even at just 4 months old. None of this "just spend time with them and socialize them" stuff. All 3 are Grey but they weren't from the same litter and the 2 males fiercely defended the female...so they live under our bed and we only occasionally get to see them.

@sistersib We've been thinking of going for our 501-C3 because we have a ton of cats that we rescued just before covid hit that were kittens when we rescued them but, thanks to Covid and nobody being able to come to the house, they're now adults so not as "adoptable" as most people want cute little kittens. Costing a fortune in cat food, treats, litter, vet bills, etc which we can't write off unless we go for the non-profit bonafides.

@sistersib Yes, our cats are all rescues as well. I love Maine Coons but have never had one and just can't see myself buying a cat when so many beautiful cats are euthanized every day in "shelters" here.

@duglop Yes. We had both Dart and Minx from about 8 weeks old and they grew up playing together until Dart got so big that his play style was too rough for her..but they were still very close. We adopted them from Tony LaRussa's ARF shelter about a month apart.

@sistersib Thank you...that autumn totally sucked losing our heart cats just 3 days apart. There are always those special cats that basically save your life and/or sanity. We of course love/have loved all of our cats but these two were particularly special.

@duglop He was Grey with silver tipped fur ...his breed name means "of the mist" due to the silver tipped fur. He was just 11 years old. We got about 7 months with him after diagnosis by doing chemo but the chemo ended up taking out his kidneys.

@duglop Our medium furred tortie, Minxie, passed away 3 days after Dart. Multiple organ failure completely out of the blue. I think she hid being sick because she knew Dart was very ill and we got them as kittens one month apart. They were both just 11 years old. She was a daddy's girl and would wait by the door for him to arrive home from a tour.

@duglop My Nebelung, Dart, weighed 22 lbs at one point but wasn't fat...he was just big and very athletic. I miss him every day and he's been gone since 9/2018, lung cancer (and we never smoked in the house after we got him so had to have been a genetic predisposition).

@GlytchMeister Doesn't MWB have a tool to remove it? I have MWB on my computers and haven't been infected (knocking on wood). Have you checked their forums for an answer?

@Skipemerson I used to drop my mail in ballot at the polls on election day to still get the feeling of voting and to thank the poll workers. Have just used drop boxes since covid though. If we manage to keep the crazy magas from taking over this year I may start doing that again for the 2024 elections.
