Am sorry to hear your HS aged son is dealing with the same crap I did when living there. Even though I didn't attend school there it's really hard being an "outsider" there as a teen. Sorry also that it sounds like your kids are wanting to put down roots there. Guess it's understandable but still hard for you.

@Jlynnfrancois @Cosmichomicide I got both too and, amazingly, had far fewer side effects from either vaccine this time than any booster or flu shot. Boosters always made me feel like I got hit by a truck for a couple of days before this one, so yay! The flu shot hurt much more than the Covid vaccine and worse than any previous flu shot and that arm was much more sore afterward than the Covid injection site. Glad your experience was a good one 👍

@DJNoneYa Lots of people buying meth and heroin are ending up dead from fentanyl overdoses. Happens a lot where my hubby works as a medic. Just goes to show you today's dealers are stupid because old school dealers knew it was all about return customers. Can't return if dead.

@Brandy @Jeber Also back then most tv channels went off air by 1 am at the latest and it seemed like we had tornado warnings every other day. There wasn't much to do without friends. I went to one beer bar as my ID said I was 18 which was legal for beer then but grew tired of the music (country/cw) before I could even get a buzz. Worked 2 jobs to save up the $ to move back to the SF bay area and rent an apartment and never looked back.

@Brandy @Jeber I lived in OK briefly as a teen..for about 10 months. I couldn't make any headway as far as developing friendships because I wasn't from there, didn't go to school with them from kindergarten on up and being from CA I was doubly ostracized. It is not a friendly place especially if you lean left which, even back then, I definitely did. Weird blue laws, bringing your own booze to the bar, and even a mj roach could get you serious jail time (not sure if that's still the case).

@WTFGOP Yeah. I actually established this account when CoSo first started and came back here when Musk began talking seriously about buying and the platform began being flooded with rude magat trolls looking for trouble. My sm presence has decreased dramatically over the last year or so but am usually here when I post something. Rarely use the bird app any more.
