@AkomoCombine @Minholkin I had an interesting thought last night as we were watching J once again scale up the infrastructure here.
Mastodon is comprised of many servers, each paid for by their owners. How many of them have the resources to manage scale like this?
I'm guessing not many, and I'm guessing that doesn't bode well for them at all.
(Also yes, Min is amazing people!)
@kel @AkomoCombine @Minholkin I must admit to knowing little about Mastodon other than I used to use it to access CoSo before CoSo had its own app. I thought it was just either an Open or Composite API designed to access multiple websites. Never really thought of it as a stand-alone service/website. People seem to be flocking to it right now with some luminaries touting they've moved there and encouraging their followers to set up accounts there..shrug..not going there, like it here 🙂

These three alone - i didnt want to be told what to think
At the same time i dont tell others what to think.
When i post something - sometimes i have an opinion sometimes i dont.
I keep a presence only to see what others are saying and what folks are trying to do. Ideas , thoughts etc.
This venue has a great tool for that and all voluntary human powered.
