I don't favor getting rid of the Electoral College. If a rural precinct in Idaho can stuff the ballot box and offset legally cast votes in urban areas, that's not an advantage.
I would like to see the electoral votes of all states be proportionate to the total vote in that state. So every voter in every state counts, but only toward the proportion of the electors for that state.

I wish I didn't know now what I didn't know then.
I grieve for what I once believed about the world
I knew it had truly awful people in it. Racists, & other forms of bigotry., Hucksters, sociopaths & a few psychopaths
But I never realized they made up SO MUCH of the adult population around me. The young man I was didn't grasp the actual percentages
These last couple of decades have ground my nose into the inescapable fact that nearly 50% of the adults around me are truly awful people
