with all the fuzz about leaving #TheBirdNetwork seems like no onr talks about moving to any instance of Mastodon anymore (it's just an observation)

@ordenauta maybe folks got turned off by the FakeBook investment in that platform. Frankly, I haven't thought about Mastodon since then. I've never had an account there.
Other branded networks are built on it. I think TruthSocial is a mastodon clone.

@Zevon @EileenKCarpenter yep, when I joined CoSo remember clearly some folks joining here too thinking there was another federated instance of Mastodon and later found it is not exactly like that

#Mastodon has a ton of serious problems, not the least of which is that it's basically being subsumed by Threads.
Other issues include lax security and the mountain of issues that come with haphazard decentralization. It's a cluster F on a good day. @Zevon @ordenauta
