Today I learned that hallucinating the sensation that bugs are crawling on your skin can be called "formication." (Formica is Latin for "ant.")
Because putting something one letter different from "fornication" on the discharge paperwork will go over so much better with ER patients than "Ekbom syndrome" or just "skin crawling."
