The FDA just quietly approved mifepristone, one of two drugs used for medical abortions, to be dispensed in pharmacies that agree to specific regulations. The second drug, misoprostol, has never been as tightly restricted.

This will allow a patient to get a prescription from a doctor and go to any pharmacy that follows the regulations. Unfortunately, this does not help patients in states where abortion is banned.

Idea: A Federal Law that mandates any airline that fails to meet its contracted obligation in a prompt and efficient manner, must provide quality food, lodging, and entertainment for all stranded passengers AT THE CEO'S HOUSE AT HIS/HER PERSONAL EXPENSE.

If state governors have enough cash on hand that they can pay to transport immigrants halfway across the country as a political stunt, they can damn well pony up in the middle of an airline "meltdown" and get stranded Americans home.
