And it’s that way on purpose. Keeps someone from writing a way-cool post, garnering positive comments/support and then editing the text to something shitty, and having it look like there is support for it.

It’s a good feature.

@mikeflstfi yep, which I think is exactly why Twitter didn't have one. I agree that it's a good feature. What I like about this option is that you can edit the post without copy/pasting, relinking, etc., even though you lose the likes (which is a big whatever)
