You probably hit that little clock symbol at the bottom of your post, the one next to the Content Warning "CW" button.

The idea that the post will self-destruct after a period of time, for whatever reason.

@CriticalCupcake Exploding posts are posts that are set to a specific timer that pro users can use basically. I don't really use them all that often unless I want to really be like goofy. Are you sure you didn't have it selected when you started a post?

"Exploding posts" expire; they delete themselves.

Similar to Semiphemeral on Twitter or Snapchat messages that time out after a certain point. DMs will autoscrub but posts need to be set to destruct.

@CriticalCupcake it happened to me last night too. Eventually I finally restarted the app and it stopped. I don't know what exploding posts are
