Anybody here doing #Barbenheimer ? I plan on watching "Oppenheimer" either Saturday or Sunday, but I'll give "Barbie" a miss.
I really liked "Fat Man and Little Boy", especially the way Paul Newman portrayed Gen. Grove.
I did indeed go to see #Oppenheimer last night. I think it's worthwhile. I mentioned Gen. Groves previously. He's portrayed by Matt Damon in this one, and comes across well. The main problem with this film is, when someone compresses 13 years of history into a 3-hour film, some hard choices have to be made about what gets included. I say they could have spent much less time on the security clearance issue.
We saw it as well and it felt a lot like a directors cut. A bit of solid editing and it would have been shorter and less meandering. I know they didn't want to cut any of the guest role big names, but...
Still, a solid film and the Trinity test alone was amazing.
