@CinnamonGirlE 5* and 7
*Terry Pratchett and H.G. Wells
Healthy Terry Pratchett to be precise. No monkey paw shenanigans on this one.
@misterfive And it must be consensual. They might be quite happy where they are! @CinnamonGirlE
Yes. I might be miffed if I got brought to life when I'm in the middle of a deep century-long discussion with H.G. Wells!

I told my daughter, then my niece & nephew,
and now my grandsons:
Reading is knowledge.
Knowledge is POWER.
@cassandra17lina good answer! ๐๐ฉต
5 and 7
* Mary Higgins Clark & Ann Rule
@MrsDanaD nice. Love them both.
Miss them both.
@CinnamonGirlE itโs too hard to choose!
@CinnamonGirlE 1 & 4 ๐ Been there, read that, can't remember anything ๐
@gemswinc
Yes. I understand. ๐
2 & 5. Pratchett and Asimov
@sfleetucker @CinnamonGirlE Two and Four, already done six ^_^
@CinnamonGirlE Probably 7 and 8
@TheresaVermont @CinnamonGirlE
Probably 1 - Iโd love to be able to teleport to the greatest libraries in the world..
Probably 8 - Iโd love to own a bookstore, at least a bookstore successful enough for me to live comfortably.
@evamarie @TheresaVermont
I think owning a bookstore would be fabulous myself. Love love love bookstores.
@CinnamonGirlE @evamarie @TheresaVermont
Bookstores in my area closed, but I used to spend hours in them, sitting on the floor, skimming through books. It was quiet and relaxing. And the smell! โค๏ธ
@JoyfullyDazed @evamarie @TheresaVermont
We no longer have a local bookstore either sadly, but the smells and feels of any bookstore or library are two of my favorite things. Nothing else matches them.
@CinnamonGirlE @JoyfullyDazed @evamarie I haven't been in a bookstore in years. Borders closure was one step, then needing to read on a Kindle was step two. But I have fond memories.
@TheresaVermont @JoyfullyDazed @evamarie
They are one of the best things, but the closest one to me is now an hour away. I still have the library though. But even it isn't even like the one I grew to love as a kid.
@TheresaVermont @CinnamonGirlE @JoyfullyDazed @evamarie
Thatโs heartbreaking. I donโt know what Iโd do if I didnโt live near a bookstore.
Bratt has two mom/pop bookstores โ one I go to at least once a month โ and thereโs a Barnes & Noble in both Hadley and Holyoke.
@InUnfunky @TheresaVermont @JoyfullyDazed @evamarie
I miss it. We had a mom and pop one too for a long time, but it shut down before Covid. ๐ข
1 - even if it's only 20 miles away
8 - 'cause, see above
@CinnamonGirlE 3 and 7.
1, because hell yeah!
6, not for the money, but to fulfill a dream.
And 7 would be amazing.
@CinnamonGirlE 2 and 4...
4, immediately. Then alas, I cannot decide between 3 and 6.
Hard to choose, but I've settled on 4 & 8.
My bookstore would have readings all the time, a cafe attached, and Jazz on Sundays.
@bluesbaby
That sounds like the place to be. ๐
