@Kaysymmetry my zippo knockoff has lasted longer than any plastic lighter I've ever owned. Different brand flints, name brand fluid. Plus the click sound it makes when I open it is very satisfying.
@Armchaircouch have you tried a url-shortener? Long shot probably but 🤷
@dietotaku Haagen-Dasz is pretty expensive. For the going rate you could probably get 3 store-brand pints for the price of 1 Haagen-Dasz
@EvilBunny don't underestimate them, however. Yes they may be intelligence-deprived, but what they do have is rabid dedication and an unchallenged bloodlust.
@Bix I've been using internet archive for years now. Drivers to esoteric computers manufactured by companies that have since gone under? Got it. Manuals that show you how to use any device in your home? On there. The Dorito's brand website from 2003? Yep.
Boggles the mind how this benefits anyone.
@ecksmc Honestly it's pretty hard to say anything bad about archive.org considering the sheer quantity of human knowledge accessible to anyone with an internet connection.
@ecksmc anyone with an account with archive.org should change their passwords ASAP.
For info this is who is taking responsibility for the breach:
@redenigma as someone in their 20's I actually find it interesting how different generations use various generational "slang". Gen alpha of course has words like "Rizz", but my generation- Gen Z uses words like "cap" and "bussin". It's neat to be able to see things like that just in their speech.
I'm not a prescriptivist, linguistically. Yes, it's good to standardize a language but we should also keep in mind that languages change and evolve over time. What was once Latin is now the Romance languages of Spanish, French, Italian, etc.. To think that a language /must/ be spoken in one way is simply untrue, as language is a method of human expression like any other. We don't place restrictions on art, so who's to say that someone's wrong because they say "rizz" instead of charisma?
@danielbsmith however upon looking into it further there do seem to be fan recreations using Blender which I actually quite like as well.
Thanks!
@danielbsmith unfortunately it's actually quite hard to find a good library of old wallpapers like this. The archive I nabbed this image from only had this particular image in 4:3.
Thanks for the tips though! I super appreciate it!
@Vilamundi awesome vibes these have
Linux enthusiast. Hobbyist tinkerer. Unfortunate by design.
