This is my favourite Metallica song and one of my favourite songs overall really. The funny thing is that Metallica doesn’t really like it, it’s one of the rarest songs they perform. I love it because I’ve been, ya know, metaphorically “Trapped Under Ice” and I really relate to this. Turns out though that it’s kind of a Maiden-esque Sci Fi song about some guy in a super science accident literally trapped under ice, which Metallica has explained they don’t much care for as they evolved as writers
@praet0rian it’s nice to know when everyone’s birthday is. My great grandmother had a calendar she had to remake every year.

@thedisasterautist one of my professors back in college excavated at Meroe in Sudan which is an independent kingdom which existed for about 600 years. Part of their excavation uncovered the sack of Meroe by the neighbouring Aksumites in 350 AD, which was widely condemned at the time for its brutality. Of course people have done worse before and after, but I always think about that because even back then, people wanted a better world and clearly stated said as much as widely as possible.
@Keep_on_Kraken last time I got suspended it was for accepting Andrew Tate’s challenge to fight.
I decided it was going to be a knife fight in Toronto.
And they suspended me.

@FreyaMeansLady I did. My good friend went out for the role of the assassin Nazi because he played some other Nazi on Man in the High Castle. In retrospect, I think not getting in is better because that’s too much Nazi too close together.
