@Dogofalltrees This is a vicious circle that moves from group to group at varying times with no care about boundaries or generations.
This video reminded me of my dad whose parents emigrated from Poland in 1905. By the time he was as adult he had PTSD, anxiety, and depression, which he typically treated at home with alcohol. My dad traveled to a different city and paid cash for psych treatment to keep his job and save face.
My wish is that it gets easier for everyone. Including you.
@OracleSpirit Maybe.. but you are right with your other post.. at some point we need to wake the fuck up and deal.
That's actually me.. I would much rather know the truth and be able to decide my course of action than be kept in the dark and wondering.
But some take more time than others to reach that point. I like your phrase, "Reclaim your life." Both empowering and supportive. 💟
@OracleSpirit I hear what you are saying about the multiple options available.. I'm not sure if it is a good or bad thing. I think we are generally more cognizant of mental health issues and there seems to have been a sharp increase in needs.
However, before it was social media as an escape, it was books, or music, or a special medical elixir, or opium, or since the beginning of time.. sleep and excessive work.

I have had accounts on various soc med sites and in my 14 year history, CoSo has been collectively by far - the most educated, most willing to share, most supportive, most respectful, most artistic, most caring, the most literate, and the most friendly group of individuals I have ever come across.
Sure, individually we may look at ourselves and the way we interact as just being ordinary.
But we have grown and nurtured a #CoSoFamily here. That's a big deal!
And it's all because of you!
The sixth kind of despair is when you realize you must close the book you are reading and reluctantly participate in something or other.

What's so funny 'bout peace, love, and understanding?
