Welp, it took me a couple weeks to reconcile.. but this is what 55 looks like. Funny, this is not how I see myself and I get a little shocked when I actually take time to SEE myself in the mirror. In my mind I’m perpetually 26.

Other than a sense of power, what exactly does the Right stand to gain from an educational race to the bottom? Is the power enough? I know they are thinking long-term results.. are they wishing to bring back slavery?

I am not jesting.

Hope is not a lottery ticket you can sit on the sofa and clutch, feeling lucky. It is an axe you break down doors with in an emergency. Hope should shove you out the door, because it will take everything you have to steer the future away from endless war, from the annihilation of the earth’s treasures and the grinding down of the poor and marginal… To hope is to give yourself to the future - and that commitment to the future is what makes the present inhabitable.

@BlueStateBabe As I’ve aged I’ve moved from one pillow to two. But the pillow under my head has always been a medium thick foam pillow. One non-contoured piece because I don’t like the feeling of jumbled pieces. The pillows at my grandmother’s house were down filled and I hated the little feather ends poking through. They run about $70 and can be found at stores like Dillard’s or Bed Bath and Beyond.

I can't speak for all, but the first question I posed to Alfred was a question I already asked here years ago. It's also something that I have thought on since attending Catholic school in grade school. I just wondered what Al would have to say.

Additionally, asking Al first does not preclude anyone else from having an opinion or other idea they can add to the conversation.

However, I can also see where all the Al questions may seem to eat up the feed at times.

I don't necessarily agree with Al's assessment. If not Judas, then who? And then that person would be forever castigated. @slapout @Alfred

@Alfred In Christianity, if Judas' betrayal was necessary for Jesus to save the world from sin, and his coming betrayal was precognitively known by Jesus at the Last Supper, why is Judas denounced for following the plan?

@iLovAussieSheps 🤗 I’m glad to know it’s helping another person!

I needed to hear this and I thought maybe someone else might also need it..
