Wow. That's so depressing. I know FL's surgeon general is a conspiracy theorist whose own ex-supervisors advised against him being hired to the post, but I didn't know it would have extended to everyone else in the field. I'm so sorry for you.
@ExecutiveFunction404 I think these types of people were always here (in fact I know it) but have now been emboldened by the current anti science leadership. If the "surgeon general" says it's okay, then it just reinforces their own beliefs.
Their insanity to completely reject science because they don't understand how it works is absolutely baffling to me. Choosing a surgeon general who's a conspiracy theorist is just evil. I honestly don't think I'd be able to handle being around such willfully ignorant people without going bald from pulling my hair out. Especially as the governor is purposely killing his constituents for the economy.
This timeline sucks.
@ExecutiveFunction404 I'm baffled by their ability to reject science and medical knowledge while working in a field that requires an education in science and medicine.
It really is the worst timeline.
@ExecutiveFunction404 20+ years working in healthcare, I know more about the answers to those questions than I wish I did. (For the record, I've literally handwashed my fingerprints off so it's not me)
