@PatrickKay A good number of the better (or at least more amusing) posters with large followings are on Threads, so I peek in to see what they're up to (see my too many shared posts), and sometimes throw in a comment or two. The music side is overrun with engagement farming, and the algorithm is the pits, so it's frustrating for anything more than a glance over now and again.
Had to Google engagement farming. I’m always astonished folks need multiple SM accounts.
I spend too much time on one.
What is missing on CoSo that drives this need to be everywhere?

If you really need the dopamine hits from likes and reposts CoSo is not going to do it in similar volume of the big sites. And there’s ‘big name’ interactions.
That is both objective observation and subjective experience.

I was mutuals with some of those big names. And honestly, I sometimes miss the impact of their posts due to their celebrity/volume of followers.
But I was only an unknown entity who stroked their ego when they needed it. Never was the stroking returned as it is on CoSo. They neither knew my life nor cared to.
It is a great relief that I am no longer part of that marketing machine that creates a faux world of online sycophants.
@LnzyHou @CanisPundit @t_heislen This is the one platform that I'm not entirely worried about sharing personal things. I don't know if I have ever shown my face on the dying bird, and def have not on the new blue, etc. Hehehe.
Here feels safe because it is safe, and it can be even safer when utilizing the tools, etc.

Alarmingly so. I’m often astounded by my risks of self revelation on CoSo. Sometimes knowing I may be attacked, spanked or derided.
But I’m the Queen of the Tools.
