Every year my brain knows December 6th is coming. Every year around the end of November I think “oh here it comes” and every year it arrives like a kick to the guts. The 14 lives lost. The 13 wounded. The countless lives changed forever. None got to get old, to have sore knees, to love, to be loved, to have kids or careers or adventure or heartbreak. May we remember them and never stop fighting for a better world.

I was thinking about something this morning. You know that trope where the husband is sweet/nice with contractors and construction guys and the wife is like bitchy? 1) it's basically real 2) I thought of why: I/many men have very few tools to use when having any kind of disagreement that doesn't escalate to a fight or conflict of some kind. So what is perceived as 'bitchy" is just, you know, a person saying "this isn't ok, fix it please"

@NickTheSkydiver @Shelter @FPonTheDL I guess where I'm coming from is I work at a place that had a school shooting, I went to uni at a place where there was one and I have very very clear memories of the Polytech night. So I want people to have a really hard time reloading quickly. I recognize that you can drill to be faster but most of these dolts don't.

These serve the purpose of being good PR for stupid stenographer style journos and further oppressing already over policed communities. @FPonTheDL @Shelter I just checked: it's 5 rounds max. You can roll out with boxes of ammo, and no one cares if you bring more than one shotgun. So, potentially, you could be in your hide with like 5 shotguns, each with 5 rounds. BUT your daily max is 5-6 (depending on the bird).. so I have no idea what they all need more for.

@Shelter @FPonTheDL My Dad goes to a range with round targets with other folks who shoot at round targets. Once a year they go to a private range on a guy's farm and bring their bigger stuff, but none of his buddies are "I shoot at terrorist shaped targets and I preparing for the coming revolution.. get the woke" nutters. He cuts those people out of his life and none are welcome at the club he goes to. That divide is super important.
