I like books with happy endings.
It's not because I'm some sheltered hothouse flower too delicate to acknowledge the pain of the real world. Quite the opposite in fact. I like books with happy endings because I'm old enough to have seen plenty of downright shitty endings in real life.
Lousy endings are for newspapers. Happy endings for books.
