Justin Amash, a libertarian who is no longer in Congress but was highly respected when he was, has launched his bid to be speaker of the House via Twitter. Although there's no law that prevents this, he would have to be present in order to seek and accept the nomination.

Yesterday was the 3rd highest early voting turnout ever in #GA history. The first 2 days were this past weekend.
200K more women have voted than men
Largest block of voters so far; White (non-hispanic) men over 65 yrs of age (via TargetEarly)
More younger voters (under 30) have voted than in the past 3 elections (via TargetEarly)
Caucus Chair-elect Rep Pete Aguilar (D-CA-31) will begin serving his 5th term in office in 2023. He is currently on the House Appropriations Committee and is the Vice Chair of the House Democratic Caucus. Aguilar previously served as the Mayor of Redlands.
As Caucus Chair he will be to help steer the House Dems on legislative priorities, keeping members united on issues and messaging. Messaging is an issue Dems struggled with this past cycle and hope to work on en route to 2024.

Statewide Early voting period is now in effect
A total of 424,000 Georgians have voted early... 23% of these voters had not voted last month.
Nearly 18,000 of those ... hadn't voted in the Nov 8th elections though registered. A plurality of this group of voters are Black and 46% are under 30.
ELECTION DENIERS HAND DEMS A WIN!
2 Arizona Counties (Republican Areas) have refused to certify the election for their areas. If they do not certify the election Democrats will win all local seats possibly handng the majority in the state legislature to Democrats and cutting Republican lead in the House of Representatives.
