Aerial view of #NYC
We start at the bottom and work our way up. Starting with the western half of #Brooklyn, the largest and most populous borough in the city. In terms of poulation size, its considred to be the 4th largest in the US (even its part of NYC).
That small island in the center of the photo, just above Brooklyn is Governor's Island, which has a big role in our colonial history.
To the right of the island, (skyscrapers) is Wall Street & Chinatown in Lower #Manhattan.
The 4th reason Trump won is reflected in the 30% increase in support for trump in #NYC predominantly among white men and men of color.
Trump is an int'l brand that presents as a “successful macho man”, who's hate and misogyny is a pushback against:
- losing their place of importance &
- a culture they are powerless to influence
This results in the politics of hate which embraces: sexism, racism, antisemitism, xenophobia and homophobia as a way to strike back.

I've volunteered as a poll worker for 10 yrs. I worked at the polls for the last 12 days and the reasons why trump won were made clear to me there. I am a trained observer in identifying political shifts and trends.
For those saying it was a stolen election - STOP. Show your proof if you have it. In #NYC all went by the book. What I saw at the polls, informed my understanding.
support ⬆️ has 4 major reasons: "Inflation, Immigration, Disinformation. & Hate"

#Elections
None of the election results surprise me
What I saw, from various polls sites I worked at was this:
The amount of pro-trump tv/radio ads & billboards - promoting: vote for our dear leader - in ethnic neighborhoods throughout #NYC was overwhelming. On immigrant channels I rarely saw an ad for Kamala in their native language to equal # of trump ads.
Many 1st time voters were all immigrants, who voted for Trump & GOP because of disinfo.
Many folks don't realize what resources it takes to make an election happen. For a city of 8.5 Million people like #NYC the video linked below shows you what it takes.
Polls are open in NYC from 6am to 9pm.
It's your last chance to be part of history by adding your vote to the record number of voters who have cast their ballot! See you at the polls!
I believe Young people will save our democracy!

I'm exhausted, but here are the #NYC Early Voting #Election Day 5 Results
Yet another record setting historic day!
Day 5 Vote Total: 602,392
The Cumulative Total: 1,881,140
Lots of women are showing up, as well as young people. We clap and cheer for all first time voters, many of who are young, but a few were lots older. The oldest 1st time voter was a 62 yr old woman.
I'm off to bed because tomorrow is another 14 hr day. Plz offer rides to the elderly & women, if they've not voted.
Early Voting has begun in #NYC.
There was a slow yet steady stream of voters coming in throughout the day. Everyone was nice polite and patient despite all the items that were on the ballot, including the Equal rights amendment.
This year they have me working at 5 different poll sites over the next 10 days, remaining at each one for only 2 days. The farthest site I'll be working at is 3 miles away.
Hoping people will order their mail-in ballot (today is the deadline) or will vote by 11/3
