Current Dem Caucus Chair Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY-08) was elected to lead the House Dems in 2023, making history as the first Black official to lead in either chamber. He takes on the responsibility of keeping the caucus united on policies and messaging as Dems set their sights on winning the majority in 2024.
Rep. Jeffries (center) has been Chair of the House Democratic Caucus since Nov of 2018 and is the former Whip of the Congressional Black Caucus.

Caucus Chair-elect Rep Pete Aguilar (D-CA-31) will begin serving his 5th term in office in 2023. He is currently on the House Appropriations Committee and is the Vice Chair of the House Democratic Caucus. Aguilar previously served as the Mayor of Redlands.
As Caucus Chair he will be to help steer the House Dems on legislative priorities, keeping members united on issues and messaging. Messaging is an issue Dems struggled with this past cycle and hope to work on en route to 2024.

@Bliss Good Morning 🌞 Bliss. Yes the dems have a problem with messaging. It probably wouldn’t do if I was in office. I would be constantly working to get under trumps skin ( I know that sounds nasty 🤢) and be making comments like “ Go ahead play golf. Enjoy it while you can fat boy!” And calling out the MTGs & Gym Shorts Jordan’s for being idiots.
Congresswoman Katherine Clark has served MA-05 since December 2013. She has served as state senator, state rep, general counsel for Mass Office of Child Care Services. She previously served as Asst Speaker of Congress after serving as the Vice Chair of House Dem Caucus
