My home city's newspaper will not get another dime from me.
The was when the brave DC Metro Police were beat trying to save the Capitol with the Cap Police. They could have sat on the sidelines like Jeff Bezos.

Fuck the oligarchs, Bezos has ruined my city's newspaper.

Columbia Journalism Review:
WashPost editorials page editor David Shipley OK'ed endorsement of Harris — one week before publisher Will Lewis / Bezos killed it.

Nikolaj:
The Washington Post be like "Democracy dies in darkness and that's good"

@Bix So, my read is that all of these billionaire owners just want to be oligarchs in the new trumpocracy.

@Superstitionsee
I have no idea what is trying to say here. But, he gets to be our leader if the oligarchs get their way.

@mikeharmanos

Thank you, Mike.
I did the same thing, it looks like I will look to WAMU / NPR for news of my city.

@Bix I recommend The Guardian. They have, for the last couple hundred plus years, done what the Post only gives lip service to.

theguardian.com/

@Bix Just got rid of my subscription too. 🤬 cowards

@Bix
I used to read the Washington Post obsessively, it was my home town newspaper. I was proud that it coverd the Watergate scandal, & the messy conclusion to the even messier Vietnam War. They had a great editorial section.
No longer. In this age of Trump & gaslighting, WaPo stands for nothing & is a complete waste of time. I'd rather read the City Paper, but I rarely get out there.

@Bix @jjGravitas

What a weird fuckin' sadistic ghoul he is.

The Washington Post also publishing a massive expose of Trump's intent to use the military with permission to use lethal weapons to repress any protests.

So there's that. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
