I joined in with the #etsy strike and put my shop on hold in order to protest Etsy’s price gouging. I have noticed since that I put it back online, I hardly get any traffic to my site anymore. I wonder if something is going on there or if it is just a coincidence.

I am wary of people whose only link in their bio is to another social media website, or their only content is screenshots from other social media websites. #coso

Hey #cosowriters! Still figuring out the hashtags here. I am an indie author who has written in a few different genres, but my stories all contain elements of suspense. Looking to find some other creative nauts!

Bell’s Codex is a suspense/thriller novel about solving a book that has been encrypted in a secret code.

my magnum opus is the ACTUAL code book from the story. The #puzzle is real and the clues for solving it are in the novel.

At the grocery store, there was a young kid, maybe 4, wearing a Mario hat, yelling “It’s a me, Mario!” At everyone. No one was acknowledging him. When he did it to me, I said “Really? Hi Mario, I’ve always wanted to meet you!” And his face lit up.

For any of you who don’t have young kids, there is a book called “Llama Destroys the World” in which a cartoon llama unleashes a black hole which consumes the entire universe.

This has led my almost 3 year old into asking lots of big questions about real black holes. He is really trying to wrap his head around it. (Just like everyone is trying to wrap their heads around black holes, really).

Anyway, we were playing with chalk yesterday and I drew this for him.

I have been thinking about this community a lot since I joined a few days ago. To my fellow Twitter migrants, I think we need to remember that there was a community here before us with their own vibe, rules, attitudes and behaviors that existed before we joined. We can’t just show up and start acting like this is still Twitter. Read the room, things are different here. I think you will find that it is actually quite nice that it is a different place.

I am an artist, and part of social media for me is telling the world about my art. There are things that I have made that are for sale: prints, books and music. My sole purpose for being on #coso is not to sell things though, this is a great community with positive interactions and it is a nice place to be. That being said, I spent many years in other places and had no luck getting my message out. And after one day on coso someone bought one of my books. This place is magic.
