@OscarHokeah Sometimes, I feel like writers try TOO hard to be funny, so it falls flat.

@OscarHokeah It's been a while since I got into a new show like this. Especially a comedy.

Note to self: Take a more current picture of myself for my profile pic. The one I'm using is 20 years old and 70 pounds lighter. Don't judge me too much, it was the only one I have on my computer without a child in it. 😆

@OscarHokeah I got really into this show too and it became my happy point of the week.

Something I was doing on Twitter was sharing my stats. It's something that started on my blog until it got to be too tedious in blog form. Time to move that to my account here.

Here's how it works.

S2: Season 2, this is my second year of keeping track of my stats.

Day 121: Current day.

(486): Total number of days.

Word Count: Daily words.
Total: Total for the year.

And so...

S2: Day 121 (486)
Word Count: 0
Total: 14100

It was readathon yesterday, so I did 0 words.

@jennyarntzen Sounds like you've got a great plan in place! You've got this!

Okay . The timers are set. I have my goals for May. It's time to get to work. I'm determined to turn my life around.

@ianthealy You can spin it by saying "You want this because it's one of a kind! It'll be the start of something new!" A character driven adventure that twists the genre.

@ianthealy I figured you had epic plans for publishing. lol I'll check out that other one you wrote, and I'm good to wait patiently. Just letting you know the interest is there for your take on the genre. :)

@MLClark I love the idea of limitless imagination. I like modern settings, because it is the world I live in now. Why can't magic exist here too? Why does it always have to be ancient LOTR or GoT settings? I'd love to play on the idea of magic being everywhere and common. Like Final Fantasy 7/8/15. Not sure if you're familiar with those games at all.

@ianthealy Excited for you to finish this. This is definitely something I would love to read.

@MLClark

1) Modern fantasy.

2) People seem to want to limit this genre to detective stories or Harry Potter knock offs. In general, people tend to limit most genres to one solid trope and never explore much else.

Feeling sort of better after some solid sleep. Sort of.

My Sunday agenda is the following:

- Close out my readathoning until lunch.
- Have lunch with the family.
- Get hubby to the airport.
- Write my little heart out while eating mac and cheese.

Going to curl up with a book (or five) and cheese curls. I might check in again tonight. I might not.

Feeling fried from too much peopling.

And I've got more to do tomorrow too.

Today is readathon through Dewey's Readathon at 24hourreadathon.com

So that's what I'm doing today. I'm through two manga volumes. Moving to a traditional novel next.

What have I been up to while the site was down?

I read three graphic novels, wrote about 4k words, worked the day job, and contemplated the world I live in.

So...pretty successful time.

I think today is the first day in a long time where I wrote words and didn't loathe every single one of them.

@NannyGOAT If I put lettuce on it, does that make it a salad?
