If you could share one piece of wisdom that you learned in your life, what would it be?
@Armchaircouch Listen to family/friend advice. People who try to advise you usually are trying to help you.
Be kind
I need to get this tattooed in my brain @Flyingdutchman696
Go live a full life
@Armchaircouch
Therapy works.
Never settle. If something smells off, itโs likely way off.
Don't worry about how others view you, no one (esp. online) will be see the real you unless they truly get to know you.
#morethanone
Know yourself. Know your limits and what you have the capacity to handle.
For ex: don't date a stripper if you know you can't handle it. ๐
๐ @PussyFootingAround
@Armchaircouch Everyone's experience is unique, and there's absolutely no reason to believe that someone else knows what you know.
Put another way: If they knew better, they'd do better.
There's a difference between preparedness and worrying. Nobody lived a single day longer because they worried about something. ๐
@Armchaircouch Donโt make assumptions, get the data.
If you always do what you always did, you'll always get what you always got.
this. this is one of my favorites, itโs so simple, and so profoundly true! @th3j35t3r
@th3j35t3r @Armchaircouch "The main thing is, pay attention. Pay close attention to everything, everything you see. Notice what no one else notices, and you'll know what no one else knows. What you get is what you get. What you do with what you get, that's more the point."
True...unless someone gets fed up with you doing the same sh*t over and over but this times decides to stomp the crap out of ya...lol
OH DEAR. THIS POST WAS SET TO SELF-DETONATE ๐ฃ ๐ฅ ๐ฅ

Everyone suffers on this planet, everyone. Some don't lament their situation, but that doesn't mean it's easy. We also suffer more in our imagination than in reality.
Yes, and that second part, my goodness so true! @White_Rabbit
There ya go! It's right there!
if you fail to set expectations, you should expect to fail
I've also become a big fan of Hanlon's Razor over the years...

@Armchaircouch the only person you need to impress is yourself.
@Armchaircouch ๐๐งก
People will hate you, rate you, break you, and shake you
How strong you stand is what makes you
The best amount of weight to lose is the weight of other peoples opinions of you.
@Armchaircouch Live between pain.
I wish I'd known this in my teens too.
This! Yes! as hard as it feels and is,
โฅ๏ธ Ditto my friend. @Fiikus_goddess
@Armchaircouch A hard lesson that can be learned only thorugh experience.
Both physical and mental aspects.
โค๏ธ
My wish would be no one would have to learn it, but sadly, it does refine the soul - usually for the better.
that is so true, sometimes we have to earn those darn Silver linings โฆ
โฅ๏ธโฅ๏ธ @Fiikus_goddess
@Armchaircouch It's ok to ask for help.
@Armchaircouch learn basic first aid
@Armchaircouch Passed down from my Dad way before Nike was born.
Just DO it!
@Armchaircouch
Don't walk on stairs with your hands in your pockets.
ha!! yes!! oh my goodness that is like laughing in the face of Murphyโs Law! @ceruleanbagel
@ceruleanbagel @Armchaircouch I assume that was a painful learning experience.
@poemblaze @Armchaircouch
Oh, yes ๐คฃ
Broke my glasses, bruised forehead in a clear straight line and my right thumbnail bent back halfway down where I scrambled to get my hands out and stop the fall.
@ceruleanbagel @Armchaircouch Oweww
๐ญ๐ญ๐ญ Iโm so sorry that sounds terrible! @ceruleanbagel @poemblaze
@Armchaircouch @poemblaze
It was a very long time ago though
@Armchaircouch Feelings/emotions are only temporary. (Corollary: never use a permanent solution for a temporary problem.)
I can really appreciate this! Thank you! @poemblaze
@Armchaircouch You're welcome. Personal experience. Fortunately I didn't succeed.
