You know what's great about last night's debate? The fact that it is so overwhelming the news cycle today that I have yet to see even one fuckwit post about how 9/11 was an inside job, or that none of the explanations of how it happened actually happened.

It is the first year since that awful day that I'm not inundated with their nonsense.

I hate how often I'm reminded of the fact that because no one died during the school shooting at my younger daughter's high school 9 years ago that we were lucky.

I feel horrible about it, and how horrible it must be for those greiving over the deaths of their children. I feel angry that we seem unable to actually implement the obvious solution.

And I feel glad my girl came home unharmed. It is possible to feel both happy and angry at the same time.

I wish I didn't know that.
