@JanetZumba_FalPals monthly fee? They have that.
@killingfloorman Yeah, I can see that.
Holy carp, the new album from English Teacher, their first, called "This Could be Texas"....
It's a GREAT album.
Seriously, stream it/buy it (like I did) at your usual places. You will not regret it.
Back in the late 80's early 90's I was still in the Cable Television business. AT the time I was big on the idea of two channels that were trying to get launched. The Science Fiction Channel and Court TV.
The Sci-Fi channel story is interesting and fun, but I was told that I was nuts to support the idea of Court TV. I would always reply "2 big trials is all the channel needs"
The first was the Menendez Brothers trial. The second was OJ.
Both channels are still here, altough radically changed.
This past week I added a song to Radio Free California that hasn't been released. It is a live and improvised performance by Jacob Collier of th Bjork song "Hyperballad". The only place you can find it is on YouTube.
I took the audio and mixed it slightly, and it now plays on the radio station. I figure if it's on YouTube, that's a public release.
In any case, I pay royalties.
I may do the same thing with Joni Mitchell's performance of "I'm Still Standing".
"...So she got permission to change the words, which is just about the most Joni Mitchell thing I can think of."
Joni Mitchell jazz walks an 80's hit of Elton John & Bernie Taupin and it's fucking GREAT.
I believe I have said before that I'm not a fan of country music. I respect a number of artists who perform it, but it's not for me.
That said, this is going to make some people's heads EXPLODE, and I'm all in for it.

Ecouter Netradio has informed me that my song "Ordinary Life" is in their rotation.
Which explains the sudden uptick in listenership on various streaming platforms in France.
Merci, to my French fans. All these years in the business and it's still thrilling to get news like this.
As promised, here is the blog version of Radio Free California Episode 2415, which includes programming notes for the week for the radio station, news about a nearly exclusive track, cheap shots and more!

Because I don't live where the eclipse would be visible I haven't been paying too much attention to it.
But now, we have Governor Sanders of Arkansas declaring a State of Emergency over it.
Either she's impossibly stupid, or the release of restrictions that comes with a State of Emergency is for something else and this is cover.
Take your bets, folks.
All female rock band forms in Kyiv, then has to break apart when the war starts. The members scatter.
They reunite in Berlin.
I present to you, The Sixsters:
My father-in-law was a rural route mailman in central Iowa. Upon his retirement he became a conductor for the Boone & Scenic Valley Railroad. He passed a few years ago at the age of 89. He was a good man, and I both liked and respected him.
We learned today that the Railroad will be naming a steam locomotive in his honor in a ceremony next week.
I think he would have been pleased by this. He loved steam trains.
@ChrisPierson Mandela eh? I guess that means we have to throw him in prison for a couple of decades.
