Have some straight ahead unabashed rock and roll from Finland. Maybe finally the Von Hertzen Brothers will break big outside of their homeland.

Quick reminder that Freddie Mercury and Brian May weren't the only singers in Queen.

Roger Taylor and Jules Holland:

Easily the strangest project I've ever been involved in. Not in terms of music, but in terms of an athiest producing and recording a bunch of rock/pop songs with a group of Celtic monks.

Pre-save now. First single out January 7th. Album out in February.

Not sure I know how to feel about this one. Duran Duran, covering ELO's "Evil Woman".

They do put their own stamp on the song, but I found myself wanting to listen to the original immediately after.

They aint bad, but they're no ELO.

When I was young I wasn't a fan of his, because to my untrained ear it all sounded the same. I have come to truly enjoy his work, and have seen him live - which is something I recommend to everyone.

Like I said, I'm a fan.

In celebration of the upcomming , my entire catalog on Bandcamp will be 95% off. There is a USD $0.50 minimum per single and USD $1.00 per album/EP, but this discount applies to everything, including bundling the entire discography.

from The Cure!

Like many of their best songs, it has a super long instrumental intro.

"Alone", by The Cure - available at all the usual places.

A DJ known as "The Kiffness" is on tour in Europe playing this track. Now here is a good use of autotune.

(I didn't know about Ani DiFranco, but I knew the rest)

Am I mis-remembering things or can Katy Perry actually sing? I seem to recall that she can actually sing, and sing well.

Been working my way through her new album, and aside from it being, well, dull for the most part, she is auto-tuned on nealy every note.

This may be a production choice, but I am of the very strong opinion that singers should sing.

I'm only a decent singer but I've never used auto-tune, and never will.
