But what good is it if a Black person uses his personal weapon to defend himself from someone threatening their lives, and the police SWAT team arrives and decides the original victim is the who is the threat? Guns weren't much use in the Tulsa race massacre.

Yeah, it's perverse. Taxpayers don't want to fund anything but police, so every other thing that goes wrong in the city becomes the cops' problem.

Underfunded schools with large classes and no nurses or counselors? Have cops in schools to deal with discipline. Mentally ill people whose families can't deal with them? Put them in prison. Insurance companies want to make sure their policyholders don't file fraudulent claims? Have cops fill out paperwork on property crimes they'll never actually investigate.
