#DeSantis is blocking transgender people's access to hormones. Adults as well as minors.
This is going to force transgender people on HRT to detransition, which has serious medical consequences.
Sudden cessation of HRT can result in conditions including, but not limited to, menopause, increased heart rate, increased risk of heart disease and stroke, mood swings, and insomnia. For months. That's not even touching the accompanying social problems and personal trauma.
This is torture. #politics

I don't have the rosy view of humanity's true goodness that I had in my youth, but damn! If he is able to ride this hatefulness into more power- if he's even able to eke out a reelection - we're worse than I thought.
